Who is the course for?
This course is designed for employees who work in low risk environments.


What does the course aim to do?
To provide vital information to enable employees to deal with emergency first aid situations.


What will be covered?
Priorities of First Aid and incident management. Practical skills will include resuscitation and choking, looking after an unconscious casualty, treatment of bleeding, burns and fractures and the recognition of shock. Further information will include recording of injuries, dealing with severe and sudden illness e.g. heart attacks, epilepsy, diabetic emergencies and strokes.


What are the final qualifications?
Appointed Persons Certificate which will remain valid for three years.


How will I be assessed?
Continuous observation of practical skills during the sessions.
